For starters, y'all'll need a GPU that has an in-built H.264 encoder.

That includes:

AMD GCN 1.0+ GPUs (The hardware encoder here is the VCE, the Video Coding Engine). Run across the Wikipedia commodity on VCE.

NVIDIA: Kepler and Maxwell GPUs with the NVENC SIP Cake. See the Wikipedia article on NVENC for more than details.

Intel: Only supported on Intel Core and select Pentium, Celeron and Atom offerings (SandyBridge and across) whose GPUs and drivers support Intel QuickSync SIP block. Run into the Wikipedia commodity on Intel QuickSync engineering for more details.

Your current GPU is a 2011 model based on the older VLIW architecture from AMD (Pre-GCN rebrand of the Hard disk 6450), and is therefore, unsupported.

Information technology isn't the GPU it's the CPU. You need a Sandy Bridge processor or above not a Kentsfield. google/wikip for "Intel Quick Sync Video"

Basically you need an i3 or to a higher place, not a Core 2 (even if it is a quad)

Read the commodity, apparently it can transcode video files very fast.

Here is a quote from the Wikipedia page.

"A criterion from Tom's Hardware showed that Quick Sync could convert a 449 MB, 4-minute 1080p file to 1024×768 in 22 seconds. The same encoding using only software took 172 seconds but it is not articulate what software encoder was used and how it was configured. The aforementioned encoding took 83 or 86 seconds GPU-assisted, using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 and an AMD Radeon Hard disk drive 6870, respectively, both of which are gimmicky high-finish GPUs"

None of them, it is Intel's own technology. so, i3, i5 or i7. the older core processors that practise support it are probably getting a bit long in the tooth now if you lot are going to splash out. I'd advise buying a decent motherboard and perchance an i5 processor every bit you can easily fit a new processor in a year or so rather than ripping the whole lot out. I'one thousand out of touch but a decent motherboard will make the system faster and more than reliable. (well that's my 2 pence worth)

LGA1155 socket looks similar it gives you a wide range of Sandy Bridge and newer Ivy Bridge CPU'due south. I'd probably look at something that will support SAS drives as I believe a fast disk subsystem makes for a computer that generally feels more than responsive. (My ain view.)

Oh thanks, piffling annoying really information technology should be mentioned in the system requirements that you must have a cpu that supports information technology.
